Q: When is the 2013 National Race to End Women’s Cancer? A: Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. The race begins and ends at Freedom Plaza, Pennsylvania Avenue and 14th Street in Washington, DC.

Q: What is the mission of the Foundation for Women’s Cancer? Log onto www.foundationforwomenscancer.org for a look into the great work and goals of The Foundation for Women's Cancer.

Q: Are registration fees tax-deductible? A: Contributions are tax-deductible. Registration fees are not tax-deductible.

Q: May I bring my children to the event? A: Of course! We welcome families of all kinds and strollers are OK. New this year: Kids Pit Stall, with face painting, arts and crafts and fun for the little ones!

Q: May I bring my dog to the event? A: We love dogs, but discourage their presence on the race route for safety reasons. Of course, service dogs are always welcome.

Q: May I wear my inline skates or ride my scooter or skateboard on the race route? A: For safety reasons, skates, skateboards and scooters are prohibited.

Q: Where and when is packet pickup? A. Pre-race packet pick-up will be held at the Pacers Running Store on King Street in Old Town, Alexandria from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 2nd and on RACE day in a tent on Pennsylvania Avenue that will be marked with signage that says "Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up." The RACE day Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up Tent will be open at 7:00 a.m. and the official race start is 9:00 a.m. EST.

REGISTRATION FOR 2013

Welcome! Registration for the 2013 National Race to End Women’s Cancer opens in early March. The race will take place on Sunday, November 3, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. Our goal is to reach 5,000 participants and raise $250,000 online through individual registrations, contributions and TEAMS!

It’s ALL About the TEAMS!!

There is no better way to participate in the National Race to End Women’s Cancer than to gather your friends, families and co-workers to MULTIPLY awareness and funding to save lives. Survivors are at the heart and soul of this effort. Reach out to all who support you in your fight against GYN cancer and enlist them to join this movement!

Remember, teams are comprised of ANYONE who supports your efforts to raise money and awareness for cancers unique to women. Team members can be race registrants (8K or one mile runners or walkers, or those who Sleep In and Still Support the Cause) and ANYONE who contributes money in your team’s name.

Top Team Totals Awards Program

Every time your gang clicks on your team page to add new members and new donations, your “honor scroll” will reflect your team’s progress and status in the Top Team awards program. The top three teams’ winners will be recognized on race day, and will be acknowledged on stage for your stupendous achievements in bringing in the most registrations and contributions.

Here are the first steps in the Registration Process:

  • 2. Put together your email distribution list of prospective team members.
  • 3. Draft language for your initial outreach. TELL YOUR STORY!

Packet Pickup

Beat the crowd by having your registration packet sent directly to you! For a $5 fee, you can request your packet be mailed to you when you register for the National Race.

Pre-race packet pick-up details (on Saturday, Nov. 2nd) coming soon!

The RACE Day Packet Pick-Up Tent will be open at 7:00 a.m. and the official race start is 9:00 a.m. EST.
